University of Virginia
The University of Virginia Maintenance Department contracted with Engineering Solutions & Construction Management, PLC to assist them in designing an access platform for routine maintenance on their air handling equipment at the South Chiller Plant. Due to the fact that it was not in the original design, ductwork, piping, and electrical were scattered throughout the area.
After careful measurements and creativity, a constructible solution was created and was fabricated by Industrial Fabricators of Virginia. All of the red primed steel in the picture was installed, along with the galvanized grating.
This is another example of working on an industrial project with severe constraints that we have successfully achieved.

Roof Failures
ESCM works with insurance companies on forensic engineering projects to determine cause of failures. This project was a roof failure as a result of the snowfall in 2010.
