Quirk Charlottesville is the first ground-up hotel within the Quirk brand. ESCM supported the vision of the owner and ArchitectureFirm by using two levels of post-tension concrete to create expansive lobby and assembly spaces. The slabs serve as the podium for several levels of light framed hotel rooms and a rooftop gathering space that affords unparalleled views of Charlottesville and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The numerous awards that continue to pour in for this project is in small part a tribute to the flexible structural design and our ability and willingness to push the limits of modern structural materials and design.
