I have always loved mathematics. When my sister chose structural engineering as her field of study I followed in her footsteps only a year after.

What is your typical day at work?

I draw plans in the Revit software. Revit is a complex and amazing program and I enjoy the opportunity to use it and to continue to learn and adapt in that use.

What is the best part about your job?

It is amazing to be able to see in the real world what you once helped create on paper. That is what makes this job special and always interesting.

What are some of the challenges in your job?

Most of the time we start our work on architectural plans that are in progress. That can cause a lot of changes and sometimes frustration.

What is one of the coolest projects you’ve worked on for Engineering Solutions?

Monsouri Residence was one of the first projects that I worked on at Engineering Solutions. It is a contemporary house and I really enjoyed working on it.

Integrity is my favorite core value. It makes everything in life less complicated.

A small beach on the Adriatic Sea where Vesna used to spend her summers.

Tell us about your family.

My native country is Bosnia and Herzegovina (a part of former Yugoslavia), where I have lots of family and friends. It is always a joy to visit my home city, Mostar, as well as the Adriatic Coast. I am a mother to two sons and a grandmother to two Whippets. My sons are my pride and happiness and my life’s best accomplishment! My sister and niece live in London, England. We try to be together at least ones a year.

This stone bridge was built in 1566 in Vesna’s native city of Mostar. It is called Old Bridge.

I have held a driver’s permit for about 18 years!

What is the last movie you watched?

The last movie I watched that left a great impression on me was Hidden Figures.
